  • 500 g Rice
  • 1 Tomato Sauce
  • 200 g green Peas in jar
  • 200 g Cooked Ham
  • 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 250 g of Provola cheese
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Garlic
  • 2 Eggs
  • Basil
  • Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Breadcrumbs


To prepare the recipe for timbale of oven-baked rice first cook the rice for the time indicated on the packaging in boiling salted water, then drain it.

While the rice cooks and cools, prepare a sauce of tomato sauce by sautéing garlic and olive oil and then adding a tomato sauce.

Adjust salt and add a few leaves of basil. Cook on a low flame for 15 minutes.

In a saucepan by lightly fry in a little olive oil and a little onion, then add the diced ham and after a few minutes, add the peas, drained. Add salt to taste and cook for 5 minutes.

When the rice is lukewarm, as well as other preparations, stir together, add two eggs and the grated parmesan cheese.


At this point grease and sprinkle with breadcrumbs a baking pan.

Take a first layer of rice and add the slices of provola cheese dry.

Make another layer of rice and then another round of provolone.

Completed with the remaining rice, other small pieces of cheese, a little parmesan cheese and pepper if you like. Bake at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes in the oven already hot.
